Senior Clinical Physiologist / Health Care Scientist

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist/Healthcare Scientist to increase our Scientist team in the Cardiology Section of the Clinical Measurement Department at UHDB, including Queens Hospital Burton and the 3 associated Community Diagnostic Centres. Ideally experienced in Exercise Testing, Ambulatory Monitoring analysis and reporting, Physiologist Led Palpitation clinic, Tilt table testing, and Cardiac Catheterisation.
This is a permanent post. Applicants will need to demonstrate proven competency in your specialty. The core hours are 8am - 6pm.
Applicants must hold BSC (HONS) Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification and post grad experience.
Clinical Physiologists with demonstrable experience having a range of clinical experience in cardiology and a proven track record specialising in Exercise Testing, Ambulatory Monitoring analysis, and Cardiac Catheterisation, and eager to learn lead specialist skills in e.g. Physiologist Led Palpitation clinic, Tilt table testing, and to sit SCST Diploma in ECG interpretation in the next 6-12 months will be considered. Pay scale will be adjusted to reflect skills and experience, e.g. band 5 whilst training moving to band 6 once training completed.

Main duties of the job
* Performs analyses, interprets and reports on a broad range of standard and highly complex diagnostic investigations ensuring they are delivered in a timely and professional manner.
* Approves and authorises highly specialised reports generated by other clinical physiologists.
* Undertakes training and supervision of trainees and other professionals.
* Participates in the out of hours on-call rota.

Education, Training and Qualifications CPD Requirements

* Specialist clinical experience of complex investigations/advanced procedures acquired through extensive experience and specialist training courses/qualifications.
