Job overview
A fabulous opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and dynamic Staff Nurses to join our District Nursing Teams in South Manchester. We are Manchester/Trafford Local Care Organisations bringing together NHS Community Health Services and adult social care services in Manchester and Trafford. As Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, we are driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in South Manchester by working across organisational boundaries.
As a Registered General Nurse, you will be required to work as part of our District Nursing Service to provide complex care to adults in their own home and in a variety of settings within the Community. There are great development programmes in place for progression to Band 6 and opportunities for further education leading to Community Specialist Practitioner qualifications.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with GP Services and the Integrated Neighbourhood Teams to ensure that patient care is effectively coordinated, demonstrating a positive impact on our patients. You will enjoy the chance to develop new and existing clinical skills as well as a range of training opportunities for personal development. We will be looking for proven leadership skills and the ability to work within a team as well as work autonomously.
Working for our organisation

We set standards that other Trusts seek to emulate so you’ll benefit from a scale of opportunity that is nothing short of extraordinary.
We’ve also created a digitally enabled organisation to improve clinical quality, patient & staff experience, operational effectiveness & driving research and innovation through the introduction of Hive; our Electronic Patient Record system which launched in September 2022. We’re proud to be a major academic Research Centre & Education provider, providing you with a robust infrastructure to encourage and facilitate high-quality research programmes.
