Pre-Admission Lead
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and forward thinking Pre-Admission Lead to join our team at Rivers Hospital. The successful candidate will have current NMC registration, with post registration experience including either acute/surgical, outpatient environment or pre assessment. The post holder will be expected to provide leadership day to day in the high performing Pre-Admission Department and to work collaboratively with the Head of clinical services and clinical Lead to develop the service acting as a role model to junior staff and contributing to their management and development.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Lead the Pre-Admission Department and support in the day to day organisation of clinic schedules.
2. Undertake a range of clinical activities including supervision and pre-admission clinics.
3. To participate in Clinical Governance agenda, ensuring audits are undertaken and the investigation of incidents/complaints.
4. Support in the development of policies and procedures to ensure care and services are safe.
5. Be responsible for the supervision of a group of staff, allocating work and encouraging staff development and undertake appraisals/job performance review.
6. Supporting the Ambulatory Clinical Manager with staff absence management
and rostering staff to ensure efficient use of staff hours within the Pre-Admission department.
7. Support the H to achieve KPIs and quality indicators.
8. Collaboration with other departments involved in the pre-admission process.
9. Demonstrate outstanding clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions.
10. Provide professional supervision.

15. Previous leadership experience and passion to deliver excellent clinical and customer care, with clear commitment to efficient team working
16. High standards of clinical competence
17. Aware of NICE guidelines on clinical assessment and routine tests for elective surgery
18. Experience and confidence in effectively meeting compliance to the Governance Framework
19. Comprehensive understanding of relevant legal and professional care/practice standards and evidence of supporting ongoing professional development
20. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
21. A passion for delivering an excellent patient-focus service
22. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
23. Evidence of current CPD
Desirable
24. Previous clinical supervisory experience
25. Previous mentorship experience
26. Audit and report writing skills
27. Evidence of pre assessment training course
