G’s Fresh Ltd and their Beetroot operation in March packs over 17.5k tonnes each year, a site with industry-leading automation and a significant workforce, they supply the UK’s leading supermarkets with fresh, healthy Beetroot products. We are looking to recruit an Engineering Projects Manager to join us on a 18 to 24 month Fixed Term Contract manage and deliver a range of medium to large-scale engineering capital projects at our beetroot packing facility. This role is critical to revitalizing the site and improving performance. The Engineering Projects Manager will play a key role in overseeing infrastructure improvements, plant upgrades, utilities enhancements, and factory machinery projects. By taking ownership of these projects, the Engineering Projects Manager will enable the Engineering Team to deliver on both their day-to-day commitments and drive forward capital projects. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage multiple engineering capital projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, contractor resources, budgets, and risk assessments. Collaborate with the Engineering Manager, production teams, and other key stakeholders to align project goals with overall site objectives. Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to provide reports and updates on project status, risks, and opportunities. Coordinate with external contractors, suppliers, and consultants where relevant to ensure project deliverables are met. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Identify resource needs and secure the necessary contractor personnel, materials, and equipment for successful project execution. Monitor and control project expenses, reporting any variances to senior management. Ensure that all projects are conducted in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Candidate Requirements Proven experience in managing medium to large-scale engineering projects, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong understanding of infrastructure, utilities, and factory machinery - experience in a food processing is advantageous as is an understanding of current best practice in these areas. Strong analytical skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions. Strong financial acumen to manage project budgets effectively. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Knowledge health, safety, and environmental regulations.
