Full-Time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Sutton
About the HLTA Role:
A dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is sought to join the team at a Nursery and Infant School in Sutton. This full-time role involves working with children from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Key Stage 2, providing high-quality support to ensure their educational development and well-being.
HLTA Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons across EYFS to Key Stage 2.
2. Work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement learning activities that meet the diverse needs of all pupils.
3. Lead small group interventions and provide one-to-one support to pupils, ensuring they reach their full potential.
4. Assist in the assessment and monitoring of pupils' progress, providing feedback and contributing to their individual learning plans.
5. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting good behaviour and effective learning.
6. Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials.
7. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
8. Ensure the safety and welfare of all pupils, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
HLTA Requirements:
1. Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
2. Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
3. Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum, KS1 and KS2 teaching practices.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
6. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
