My client in South Molton is currently in need of a Team Leader.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the effective running of the team, utilising and developing skills as appropriate.
2. Ensure the manufacture of parts are in accordance with customer requirements to the specified quality, cost, and delivery targets.
3. Maintain ongoing LEAN activities and continual improvement.
4. Manage Health and Safety in the area.
5. Promote a clean and safe working environment through effective housekeeping.
6. Support the deployment of Business System (EBS) tools and techniques for continuous improvement.
7. Oversee quality processes including self-certification, attending daily MRB, problem-solving (5 Why), scrap and rework procedures, and monitoring traceability requirements.
8. Sign off HrxHrs, update capacity charts, and work with planning and logistics for capacity loading.
9. Book off operations on Job Cards.
10. Liaise with internal customers and suppliers.
11. Ensure On Time to Cycle (OTC) and Delivery (OTD) of batches in the area.
12. Complete Nil Hour Return activities in a timely manner.
13. Facilitate team meetings and sign off Operator Standard Work.
14. Monitor team performance, set daily targets, and conduct appraisals and goal setting.
15. Prioritise work for self and others.
16. Administer training plans for the relevant area.
17. Ensure team adherence to company policies including sickness absence, time, and attendance.
18. Authorise timecards.

Experience Required:
1. Demonstrable commitment to Health and Safety.
2. Engineering background (advantageous).
3. Understanding of quality requirements for manufacturing (advantageous).
4. Experience working in a team.
5. Previous team leading experience is an advantage but not essential.
6. Commitment to promoting and championing EBS tools and principles (advantageous).
7. Good IT skills and competence in Microsoft packages.
