Main duties of the job
We are looking for a motivated leader to come and join the G4 Ward team. G4 is a 17-bedded paediatric regional surgical, urological and nephrology ward. G4 specialises in a whole range of surgical, urology and nephrology conditions including renal dialysis, tumour resection, major bladder and bowel surgery. The ward treats children from birth up to 18 years old. G4 includes a paediatric haemodialysis unit - a rotation is offered to staff to learn this specialist skill.

Person Specification
Qualifications, knowledge, and experience
* 1st Level Registered nurse on relevant part of the NMC
* Registered Recognised mentorship qualification and experience as a Sign Off mentor
* Degree or working towards
* Completion of appropriate specialty Course
* Higher Education Institute approved course in supporting learners in practice
* Extensive experience in specialty to include considerable experience at Band 6 level
* Evidence of clinical leadership ability
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Evidence of utilising evidence in practice
* Logical and consistent career pattern
* Expert clinical skills
* Ability to prioritise and deliver agreed objectives
* Ability to work flexible hours and fulfil service requirements
* Management Course (or equivalent)
* Experience as an NMC sign off mentor or clinical practice assessor
* Evidence of staff development and succession planning

Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 a year Per Annum (PA) Pro Rata
