Job Description
Paralegal - Lease contracts
Full time
Location: London / Hybrid (Buckingham Gate, 3 days/week on-site)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lease Contracts Executive to join Alpha Partners Leasing (APL), the holding company for Rolls-Royce's captive engine leasing and asset management businesses, based in London.
The size and structure of the APL organization means that you will work alongside and communicate with senior team members daily.
Why Rolls-Royce?
Rolls-Royce is one of the most enduring and iconic brands in the world and has been at the forefront of innovation for over a century. We design, build and service systems that provide critical power to customers where safety and reliability are paramount.
We want to ensure that the excellence and ingenuity that has shaped our history continues into our future and we need people like you to come and join us on this journey.
You will be supporting the Aether Asset Management (Aether) team, which manages the largest pool of Rolls-Royce engines in the world. Aether's primary goals are to deliver services within agreed timeframes, improve the turn-around-time between leases, maintain the asset value of engines under mentorship and minimise risk for all asset owners.
This multifaceted, challenging and interesting role will allow you to play a key part in drafting contracts and managing the closing of transactions. Its diverse nature requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to multi-task and to prioritise workload, as well as to communicate effectively with customers worldwide. Accuracy and a meticulous eye for detail are essential.
What we offer:
We offer excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits including bonus, employee support assistance, and employee discounts. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location.
What you will be doing:
* Drafting specific lease contract documents needed to support engine deliveries in accordance with approved templates and will be accountable for the accuracy and completeness of such documents.
* Dealing directly with engine owners, airline customers, and suppliers to support the short-term lease offering.
* Releasing engines to airline customers at a commercial level, ensuring that required customer documents satisfy internal and/or third-party guide standards and identifying any commercial risks or gaps.
* Ensuring all post-closing contractual actions and administration such as filings and security creation/release are completed.
* Ensuring customer insurance certificate renewals are completed as needed.
* Development and maintenance of commercial templates, tools, and guides as needed to support delivery and redelivery.
What we're looking for:
* Experience of drafting, negotiating, and administering lease contracts, ideally in private practice.
* Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
* Desirable: experience of drafting, negotiating, and administering aviation asset leases.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
* Well-developed interpersonal, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to understand business problems and propose customer-focused solutions.
* Desirable: a degree or equivalent qualification in Law or a related subject.
We are an equal opportunities employer committed to developing a diverse workforce and an inclusive working environment. We welcome applications from people with a refugee background.
