My client is looking for an experienced Engineering Maintenance Planner to help us enhance our Preventative Maintenance System during an initial 6-month interim role, with the possibility of a permanent position.

This role is key to ensuring our high-tech, fast-paced operation runs smoothly, with minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety First: Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with company standards, including overseeing external contractors.
2. Planning & Scheduling: Develop and implement a risk-based maintenance strategy, ensuring all planned tasks are delivered on time and meet performance targets.
3. System & Data Management: Maintain the accuracy of our CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) by tracking work orders, tasks, and performance metrics.
4. Materials Planning: Review equipment BOMs and ensure that all necessary materials and parts are available for scheduled maintenance work.
5. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to reduce downtime, increase reliability, and optimize maintenance operations.
6. Supplier Management: Oversee external service contracts, ensuring suppliers meet expectations on delivery, performance, and quality.
What You’ll Need:
1. Engineering Expertise: Ideally, a Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent experience in maintenance planning.
2. FMCG Experience: Previous experience in fast-paced manufacturing or production environments, ideally with stores management.
3. Health & Safety Awareness: Familiarity with health and safety regulations (an IOSH certification is a bonus).
4. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and other relevant systems to support planning and reporting.
5. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to collaborate with teams and external suppliers effectively.
6. Decision-Making Ability: Capable of making clear, informed decisions under pressure and in dynamic environments.
