The post holder is the COPC brand guardian and will manage the creative liaison with freelancers, junior team members and interns. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the creative vision and the standard of design output for COPC. Interpret the College Marketing Strategy and translate its core messaging and values into an engaging and purposeful visual brand identity. Evaluate client design needs and work closely with other team members to achieve client objectives within a variety of media including print, web, social and e-marketing. Lead multiple complex design projects from conception through to completion according to agreed deadlines. Manage workload and expectations of clients and account managers. Present finalised creative design ideas and concepts to clients or account managers. Co-ordinate the design, production and dissemination of all College publications and marketing materials. Manage and develop the College photography and film portfolio. This includes the co-ordination, storyboarding and art direction of photo/film shoots. Guardianship of College Brand Guidelines and advise/train others in their use. Manage freelance design staff and external design agencies as required. Liaise with marketing specialists. To request quotes, negotiate costs, liaise with suppliers and place orders, in accordance with the college purchasing procedures. Support students on occasional work placements within the department. Will be required from time to time to support / supervise student led projects To promote equality and diversity and endeavour to meet the varying needs of our diverse student population. To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you: Relevant degree or equivalent Evidence of commitment to professional development Strong portfolio of work Experience of working in a Marketing environment Experience working as a Graphic Designer across a range of media, both web and print Expert knowledge in Adobe CS (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop are essential) Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS 365 suite Some basic HTML skills and e-marketing software experience is advantageous A good standard of Maths and English Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to adapt and respond to the changing and varied needs of the FE/HE sector Diversity and Inclusion: Equality, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion are central to the work of City of Portsmouth College.
