A successful and established leading retail distribution company in Kings Langley near Watford are looking for a Shipping & Stock Administrator to join the team to co-ordinates the logistics of shipping products in the Company portfolio, manages inventory levels, ensures timely deliveries, resolves issues, and carries out the necessary administration to support efficient distribution operations.
Shipping administration responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders.
Schedule and arrange shipments with logistics providers and carriers.
Coordinate pick-up and delivery times to meet customer deadlines.
Track shipments to ensure timely delivery and update customers on the status of orders.
Address and resolve issues related to shipping delays, lost shipments, or damaged goods.
Liaise with sales managers, agents, and warehouses worldwide.
Work with carriers and logistics providers to resolve claims and discrepancies.
Manage stock levels, identifying, and resolving discrepancies.
Build strong relationships with current and new providers - ensuring the best possible customer service.
Deal with documentation such as certificates of origin and safety data sheets.Stock Controller responsibilities:
Oversee and record the inbound/outbound movement of stock from suppliers.
Check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages.
Monitor stock levels and ensure that there is sufficient supply to meet customer demand.
Maintain stock levels and systems, ensuring accurate delivery processes, returns, transfers and damaged goods are being managed to company guidelines.
Track shipments, oversee inventory audits and maintain reports of purchases and pricing.
Provide ad-hoc support to both Customer Services and the wider Stock Control team.Key Skills
Inventory/stock control experience within a FMCG environment
Computer literate and competent to use Microsoft Excel and Word
