The Older Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in North & West Oxfordshire are looking to recruit enthusiastic Nurses and Occupational Therapists to join our dedicated and friendly teams. We are seeking experienced Nurses an Occupational Therapists but would also welcome applications from newly qualified clinicians interested in the developmental opportunity to start at a Band 5 level with a view to progressing to a Band 6 once you have developed the necessary skills and competencies. As a band 5 you will be provided with increased supervision, training and additional support in managing complexity and risk. Older Adult mental health is an immensely rewarding area to work and offers fantastic opportunities to develop your nursing/OT skills further through supporting patients with a challenging mix of functional and organic illness as well as physical frailty. Ideally you will have experience of working in older adult mental health services, however, if you have transferable skills and are motivated to learn about our client group we would encourage you to apply. You will need to be organised, flexible and committed to delivering the highest possible care to our client group. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good lT skills are essential. The means to access patients and travel across the locality is essential. On a day to day, basis you will be carrying a caseload and working alongside the wider MDT, assessing and offering interventions to people over the age of 65 with complex mental health needs and/or dementia. Working with the CMHT you will be very well supported by a multidisciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists. Supervision is fundamental to the functioning of the team both clinically, and in terms of the wellbeing of our staff. We offer professional supervision/CPD opportunities.
