Mastek is set to deliver a high-profile programme for a central government department. The programme represents the next generation of the UK's biometric capability replacing and integrating with legacy systems and other departments.
A unique development opportunity to work on a Public Sector Based Large Scale programme with an innovative market leader.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analysis, fixing, triaging & coordinating live defects and will work closely with the development team.
2. Ensure and maintain overall operations stability with pre-empt health checks and daily checks.
3. Actively perform Root cause Analysis of various issues and take it to resolution.
4. Use systematic methods to triage, research, diagnose, and provide workarounds or solutions to both technical and functional issues with the product.
5. Take ownership of all queries/issues, identify and highlight issues to relevant departments for resolution and follow through until resolved.
6. Adhere to agreed response time and resolution time SLAs.
7. Collaborate with a distributed team of developers, analysts, and business owners, across all levels.
Required Skills:
1. Hands-on experience with Java 8 or above.
2. Hands-on experience in writing JUnits.
3. Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, SpringBoot.
4. Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL).
5. Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins.
6. Understanding of micro-services architecture.
7. Understanding of AWS services like ECS, EKS, S3, SQS.
8. Understanding of REST APIs.
9. Understanding of CICD.
10. Good understanding of Kubernetes.
Nice to Have Skills:
1. AWS API Gateway and Serverless technologies.
2. Message broker like Apache Kafka.
3. Mustache template.
4. Experience in large scale integration projects involving messaging, web services, and distributed systems.

1. A self-starter, comfortable working in both process-driven and ambiguous environments.
2. Experience and a passion for working within Central Government and other sectors.
3. Proven capability of working successfully with senior client stakeholders and end-users, quickly building successful relationships and establishing credibility.
4. A passion for digital and technology, with the drive and determination to continually learn new things and develop yourself and others.
5. Good written, presentation, and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of attention to detail.
6. Good organisational skills, with the ability to work independently in a highly collaborative, team-based environment.
