This pivotal role is a key position within our leadership team. As Deputy COO you will be a senior operational point of contact at SFT, with responsibility to support the COO in oversight of operational management, performance, and service improvement of care to patients, within our Clinical Divisions.

Main duties of the job
Essential skills required for the role include:
* Ability to provide highly visible and inspirational leadership for staff throughout the SFT, championing a professional and open culture which empowers staff to deliver consistently exceptional care with compassion, acting as a role model for the behaviours and high professional standards expected.
* Previous experience of working in a senior leadership role of a large and highly complex organisation.
* Proven ability to managing and implement change.
* Proven ability to negotiate with senior stakeholders, using complex, highly sensitive, and sometimes contentious information.
* Knowledge of and experience in delivering all key national and local targets and standards related to our healthcare services.
Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development (CPD) and learning.

Education, Qualifications and Training
* In depth understanding and knowledge of healthcare strategies, policies and current priorities.
Experience
* Extensive portfolio of experience of working at a senior level in a large, complex organisation.
* Significant experience of planning, developing, influencing and implementing strategies together with a proven track record of strategic and operational management.
Knowledge and Skills
* Highly developed leadership and influencing skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams with the aim of enhancing the understanding of the Trusts and your own performance expectations.
* Ability to work constructively with internal and external partners to create the conditions for successful collaboration.
