The Sellafield nuclear site is home to one of the most complex portfolios of construction and infrastructure projects in the world, supporting the transformation from nuclear operator into a world leader in environmental remediation.
Project Controls and Commercial Services (PCCS) is the mechanism in which Sellafield Ltd have engaged KBR Ltd to provide Commercial and Project Controls Services to the portfolio of enterprise projects. Those services include the provision of some 150+ Commercial and Project Controls Professionals across the Sellafield Ltd network of Projects.
SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
With a strong procurement/buying background, the role involves providing comprehensive pre and post contract management, commercial management, and purchasing services. Responsibilities include:
1. Improving pre and post contract management and commercial services within the project.
2. Optimizing the performance of both the client and the contracting organization.
3. Utilizing the robust Sellafield standardised processes and procedures.
4. Delivering efficient and highly productive services recognizing the constraints of the nuclear environment.
5. Supporting the sustainability and development of the Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management Services.
6. Ensuring robust and secure information channels are developed and maintained.
To provide support to include but not limited to the following:
1. Pre contract administration and support of tender documentation development and issue.
2. Agreeing Work Order/Purchase Orders, evaluation, and certification of monthly interim valuations.
3. Undertaking commercial audits ensuring actions are closed out to agreed timelines.
4. Review of key contractual documentation ensuring alignment and consistent use.
5. Working with broader teams to identify tangible commercial and delivery opportunities.
6. Contributing to robust contract administration and associated behavioural change.
Skills and experience
* Pre and post contract management.
* Working knowledge of NEC3 contract suite and contract management practices and procedures.
* Use of CEMAR.
* Strong experience of using SAP & certification to SAP ERP business process basics.
* Ideally knowledge or understanding of CTM (not essential).
* Ability to work with and gain understanding of Sellafield and Sellafield Commercial Procedures.
