Veterinary Head Receptionist - Woodlands Veterinary Clinic
Our experienced and friendly team are here to help care for your pets, offering a comprehensive range of veterinary services at our Cheltenham practice, based in Warden Hill and our branch practice in Brockworth. Whether you have a cat, dog, small furry or exotic pet we will care for them in the best possible way to meet your needs with up to date techniques and equipment.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Head Receptionist at Woodlands Veterinary Clinic.
Location: Cheltenham
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 30 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday with a share in the Weekend rota

About the role:
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the Receptionist team, including training and providing support and guidance
2. Creating and managing the team rota
3. Supporting with Recruitment and liaising with the internal recruitment team
4. Account Control & Debt Management
5. Manage the processing of insurance claims
6. Assist in the management of our Healthy Pet Club
Additional day-to-day duties of the role will include:
1. Answering phones and booking appointments
2. Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
3. Registering new clients
4. Completing insurance forms
5. Dispensing medications
6. Taking payments
7. And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice
What we're looking for in our Veterinary Head Receptionist:
1. Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
2. Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
3. An excellent communicator with strong empathy
4. Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
5. A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
