We are now looking for a Development Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role
As a Development Officer, you will support the delivery of sector engagement activities and projects that address the skills needs of the land-based and aquaculture industries in Scotland.
Working closely with the Industry Partnership Manager, you will work to achieve key objectives against agreed outputs and timescales, ensuring we remain at the forefront of workforce development across our sectors.
Specifically, you will focus on areas such as employer engagement, research, and the development of collaborative initiatives that address the evolving needs of businesses and stakeholders.
Additionally, you will:
- Help key stakeholders better support skills development initiatives
- Identify valuable connections aligned with our work
About You
To be considered as a Development Officer, you will need:
- Experience of supporting successful project delivery
- Experience of working to budgets, milestones, and targets
- Experience of managing and liaising with key stakeholders
- Knowledge of the key industry sectors and associated Scottish Government strategies and skills plans
- An understanding of effective project management techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- A passion for the environmental and land-based sector
- A relevant Higher Education level qualification to at least HND / SCQF level 8 or equivalent
