Overview of the role as Driver’s Mate: Bespoke Moving Solutions is looking for a hardworking and reliable Driver’s Mate to support our removals team on a zero-hour contract. This flexible role requires availability across Monday to Sunday, assisting with home, office, and commercial moves. As a Driver’s Mate, you will play a key role in ensuring goods are transported safely while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities as a Driver’s Mate: Assist the driver with loading and unloading furniture and other items safely. Ensure items are properly secured in the vehicle for safe transport. Wrap, pack, and protect furniture and belongings before loading and unloading. Work independently or as part of a team in lifting and carefully handling goods. Help navigate and plan efficient routes when required. Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism at all times. Follow company procedures and health & safety regulations. Experience needed to be successful in the role as Driver’s Mate: Good physical fitness and ability to handle heavy lifting. Strong teamwork skills with a proactive and reliable attitude. Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional manner. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekdays and weekends. Basic knowledge of safe manual handling techniques (training provided). Previous experience in removals, warehouse, or delivery work (preferred but not essential).
