In this role you will add value to PXP by:
As a Cash Management Specialist, you will be responsible for cash and liquidity management and forecasting, ensuring fit-for-purpose processes, controls, and reporting are in place and maintained. You will need to have the commitment and passion to execute the strategy at pace. A typical week might involve:
* Provide control, analysis, and management of cash and liquidity.
* Ensure appropriate client money processes, controls, reconciliations, and reporting are in place and maintained, and that all relevant regulatory requirements are met (e.g., FCA).
* Assist in managing the outsourced accounting relationships for overseas subsidiaries.
* Ensure appropriate controls are in place to support straight-through, automated payments (supports single-day settlement).
* Work with the finance team to develop robust, timely, and accurate cash flow forecasts.
* Support the process to ensure the books are closed each month in line with Group requirements and that accounting entries are complete and accurate.
* Ensure appropriate controls are in place and maintained in relation to the Group’s cash.
* Support finance transformation/change agenda by implementing appropriate controls, simplification, standardisation, and automation of processes, focusing on continuous improvement to support business growth and new product offerings.
We are looking for someone who:
* Can manage cash and liquidity, ensuring fit-for-purpose processes, controls, and reporting.
* Provides ad-hoc reporting and analysis to stakeholders.
* Supports finance transformation through process simplification, standardisation, and automation.
* Ensures automated payments and appropriate controls.
* Manages foreign exchange exposures and reduces FX conversion costs.
* Has experience in regulatory compliance, particularly with FCA requirements.
* Has experience developing accurate cash flow forecasts and in closing books monthly and ensuring accurate accounting entries.
* Collaborates with finance teams across different locations.
We would love someone to have any of the following:
* Experience in managing outsourced accounting relationships for overseas subsidiaries.
* Ability to focus on continuous improvement to support business growth and new product offerings.
* Experience in stakeholder management for cash and liquidity oversight.
* Ability to understand and align with PXP's values and ambition.
* Experience in using financial software and tools for cash management and forecasting.
