This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).
Our Health Records Clerk Department is looking for Health Records Clerks to work as part of a team that retrieves notes from the records library, prepares them for outpatient clinics or in-patient admissions, and ensures that they are tracked and monitored correctly throughout the Trust's hospital sites.
The Healthcare Records Department is responsible for the management, storage, and provision of records for all outpatient clinics and admitted patients at Andover War Memorial Hospital, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, and Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester.
Main duties of the job
The work requires the lifting, carrying, and moving of paper-based records throughout each day, some of which are stored at floor level and others may be on higher shelves only accessible with stools or ladders. Collections of records and boxes may be heavy (up to 10kg). Records are stored in an extensive library and need to be located, processed, and returned accurately and quickly.
