Role Overview:
This position is ideal for a qualified solicitor with 3+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and experience in managing a busy private client caseload. You will assist the Head of Department in handling a varied caseload, which includes wills, probate, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Caseload Management:
* Independently manage a diverse private client caseload, ensuring timely and efficient handling of matters
* Assist the Head of Department with their caseload, providing support where needed
Client Interaction and Home Visits:
* Attend home visits as required, ensuring client needs are met with the highest level of service
* Occasionally attend the firm’s Uppermill office or other locations as needed
Business Development and Networking:
* Engage in networking and business development activities to support the growth of the department
* Participate in staff training and development initiatives
About You:
* A qualified Solicitor with a strong academic record and 3+ years of PQE in private client work
* Proven experience in managing a busy caseload independently, with expertise in wills, probate, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney
* Strong presentation skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
