Overview
Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a children's provider within Residential care, who offer support to children with complex needs, to recruit for a Registered Manager to oversee their brand-new children's solo EBD Residential service opening in Rotherham later on this year.
The Candidate
As the Registered Manager, you will be working alongside the Managing Director, and you will have overall responsibility for managing the brand-new service including recruiting a full staff team, setting up systems across the service and ensuring a comfortable transition for children when the service opens.
As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the service, help to develop and establish the service and push it towards a 'Good' first Ofsted rating.
Salary and Benefits
The salary pays up to £60,000 (DOE) and benefits include:
1. 36 days annual leave per year inclusive of bank holidays - Increasing to 38 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays after 12 months.

4. £2,000 bonus for achieving an Ofsted 'Outstanding' grade and £1,000 for a 'Good' grade.

Essential Criteria
1. A strong working knowledge of EBD and behaviour that challenges.
2. In depth knowledge and understanding of the Children's Home Regulations (England) 2015 and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework.
3. A minimum of 2 years' experience of working within a Children's Residential Home within the last 5 years.
4. Substantive experience in a managerial role including supervisory experience - At least 1-2 years of this needs to be within a Supervisory or Leadership role within a Children's Home setting.
5. LEVEL 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).
6. Full UK Driving License.
7. Proven track record with Ofsted, achieving a “Good” or “Outstanding” grade within your recent Ofsted Inspections.
8. Ability to work closely with the Responsible Individual and key individuals within the strategic partnership.
Location
This position is based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire and is commutable from Sheffield, Doncaster, Mexborough, Barnsley, and Worksop.
Interview Process
The interview process involves an initial informal conversation with the Managing Director, then a second formal interview with the Managing Director and another member of Senior Management.
