We're looking for a Legal Support Assistant to work as part of a small team to provide support to the legal services provision within the Council. The post holder will join a small but dedicated team based at Wyre Forest House. In this role you will work with colleagues within Legal Services as part of a 'one team' approach to meet corporate priorities. This will include:
1. Providing high quality and comprehensive secretarial and administrative support, principally, but not wholly, dealing with property related matters.
2. Preparation of standard legal documentation.
3. Maintaining databases and being responsible for the Council's paper records archive and document retention scheme.
4. Working collaboratively with colleagues within and across teams to support the delivery of the Council's services.
5. Ensure a positive and flexible approach to the variety of tasks within the role in order to meet customer and work demands.
6. Operate as an effective and reliable team member to achieve own accountabilities and team objectives.
7. Recognise opportunities for doing things more efficiently and then assist with the embedding of process and performance improvement.
The role is 22.5 hours and the spread across the week can be discussed with the successful candidate. You will be required to provide a suitable vehicle for this post. Flexible approach to working hours, able to work outside normal office hours if necessary.
