Post Title: Senior Systems Administrator/Systems Administrator Location: Inverness
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: HC6 - HC7 £30,266 - £38,056 p.a.**
**Systems Administrator (HNC/ HND in a related subject), starting salary HC06 £30,266 - £33,579 p.a. OR
Senior Systems Administrator (Degree in a related subject), starting salary HC07 £34,034 - £38,056 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose:
* To assist in the management of systems and data for the Service.
* To assist in the redesign of the Service and lead in the development of IT
solutions to support it.
* To assist in maintaining the Service asset management database and develop
it further.
* To assist in supporting staff to utilise IT, including organising or providing
training.
* To create sustainable and achievable processes for the Roads Service, covering
all aspects, including Road Construction Consent.
* Assist in implementing changes relating to policies, procedures, processes and
software.

Requirements
HNC/ HND/ Degree in a Computer Science, Information Technology or a GIS
related course
Valid driving licence. You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively
between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational
requirements of the Service.
