Fixed Term 12 Months
An opportunity has arisen to join the Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care partnership (HSCP) Dietetic Team as a community dietitian within the Helensburgh and Lochside area on a 12-month fixed term basis.
Based in The Victoria Integrated Care Centre, Helensburgh, which is a reasonable commute with accessible rail connections to Glasgow and the surrounding areas and flexible working would be supported.
Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership spans the beautiful rural west coast of Scotland, managing acute, primary, community health, mental health and social care services across the area.
These services are provided to around 88,050 people across 6,909 sq. km.
The partnership serves a diverse range of settlements including 6 towns, 46 villages, 156 small settlements and 26 inhabited islands.
We share tertiary pathways with our colleagues in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Working in partnership with local communities to offer services that are, accessible, timely and of high quality, well-coordinated and easily understood, safe compassionate and person centred and effective and efficient.
Successful candidates will join a team of 10 Dietitians, 4 Assistant Practitioners and 2 Clerical staff based across the HSCP locality.
You will be responsible for the delivery of nutritional care within the Helensburgh and Lochside area of Argyll & Bute HSCP, working in conjunction with the locality assistant practitioner to offer nutritional care to residents of all ages, in an outpatient setting and within the home when required.
You will be expected to support and supervise the assistant practitioner and to participate in regular supervision with your peers.
The caseload will be varied and covering a wide range of dietetic areas including nutrition support, Diabetes, enteral feeding, weight management, gastroenterology and paediatrics.
This post will also offer dietetic support to community care, mental health and learning disabilities teams.
Candidates should possess a Degree/Postgraduate Diploma in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
Evidence of CPD is expected to demonstrate the competence and skills required for this post.
