Base pay range
Salary Up to £46,646 + £3,000 market premia + £2,000 annual retention payment after 2 years’ service

Main Purpose of Job
Social Worker – Connected Carers

Responsibilities
* Have a minimum 2 year post qualifying experience, preferably 2 years within fostering service.
* Have experience of completing Fostering, Connected carers and special guardianship assessments.
* Have some experience of court work and report writing.
* Have experience of delivering and facilitating training and support groups to kinship carers.
* Have some experience of post order support work within Kinship, Special Guardianship teams.
* Have some experience of presenting assessments to the fostering panels.
* To contribute to the delivery of a highly effective Children’s Social Care Service, taking responsibility for working and managing a caseload within a framework of appropriate supervision.
* To work with connected carers and children placed in a connected carers arrangement, providing support as appropriate.
* To assess, plan, use evidence based analytical practice to implement and evaluate safeguarding measures to ensure all children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
* To complete a range of assessments related to connected carers, including Special Guardianship, Viability and Connected Carers assessments.
* To complete all assessments within regulated deadlines and timescales, and submit these reports to Court or Fostering Panel as required.
