Main duties of the job
TheOccupational Therapists role is to provide assessments and interventions with afocus on recovery through meaningful activity, establishing roles and routines,social inclusion, psychoeducation, relapse prevention and facilitatingdischarge for women on an acute inpatient mental health ward.

Job description
Job responsibilities
1. Work with the wider MDT to co-ordinate and contribute to a programme of therapeutic group work that promotes wellbeing and recovery.
2. Prescribe basic equipment or refer on for more specialist equipment / major adaptations.
3. Provide occupational therapy leadership for students, designated junior staff and volunteers, through supervision and appraisal.
4. Work with the OT leadership team and wider MDT to contribute to and lead on defined projects aimed at improving the experience of inpatient service users and carers that we serve.
