As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly organised and motivated Operations Manager to lead our operational efforts and ensure the efficient functioning of our pharmacy operations.
Role Overview
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Rightangled's pharmacy, ensuring that processes are efficient, compliant with regulations, and aligned with our organisational goals. You will play a crucial role in managing teams, optimising workflows, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies. Monitor workflow processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
2. Team Leadership: Supervise and develop pharmacy staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure that team members are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
3. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with GPhC and MHRA standards and best practices. Conduct regular audits and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
4. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, including procurement, stock management, and supplier relationships. Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimising waste and costs.
5. Customer Service Excellence: Champion customer service initiatives that enhance the patient experience. Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, working to resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties.
6. Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success and team performance. Analyse operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing changes as needed.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including HR, finance, and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of pharmacy operations with overall business strategies. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align objectives and enhance service delivery.
8. Compliance & Training: Ensure that all staff are trained in compliance procedures and company policies. Stay updated on changes in regulations and ensure that the pharmacy operates within legal and ethical standards.
Requirements
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Manager with a strong background in pharmacy warehouse operations or healthcare management. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Experience: Experience in operations management, preferably within a pharmacy or a warehouse environment.
2. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to management.
3. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with GPhC regulations and MHRA pharmaceuticals compliance standards, with a commitment to maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions to drive operational improvements.
5. Customer Focus: A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service operations and enhancing patient experience.
6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, customers, and stakeholders at all levels.
7. IT Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Drive Suite and experience with stock management software or systems.
