Medcom Personnel wishes to recruit a Team Leader to assist with the management of our domiciliary care service. Medcom provides care services to service users in their own home.
The successful applicant will liaise with the Manager to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective service. The successful applicant will also have responsibility for monitoring the care staff and ensuring all necessary paperwork is in place in line with RQIA minimum standards. The successful applicant will be expected to help out and cover other areas as business needs dictate to cover shifts for sickness/absence/holiday periods. The role will be based in our Carrickfergus branch office.
The post requires the holder:
1. To hold a full UK driving license and use of a vehicle.
2. To be flexible as they need to work early mornings and late evenings in all areas.
3. To work weekends on a rota basis to provide on-call cover.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deal with client queries promptly and record and report all actions.
2. Organise and complete introductions for new clients.
3. Ensure any changes to client's care packages are implemented on the system and communicated to staff immediately.
4. Ensure all amendments to care plans are communicated to care staff and ensure the home file is updated within 72 hours.
5. Carry out spot checks on carers.
6. Deal with carers queries in relation to their work schedule and/or clients.
7. Assist area manager with reviews, supervisions, team meetings, and appraisals.
8. Attend and assist with investigatory and disciplinary meetings as required.
9. Carry out other duties as required.

This post requires the holder to have a clear disclosure check in accordance with Access NI.
ESSENTIAL
* Have a minimum of 6 months experience in a team leading role in the care industry.
* Have at least 12 months’ experience in a care setting.
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or working towards/willing to undertake if successful.
* NISCC Registered or awaiting registration.
* Have excellent communication skills.
* Be well organised and methodical.
* Be able to demonstrate good management and leadership skills.
* Be able to work under pressure.
* Be computer literate.
* Have a full driving licence and access to a car.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: £12.75-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 – 50 per week
