Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the largest of Scotland’s seven Regional Transport Partnerships, established by the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005. As well as running the iconic Glasgow Subway, SPT delivers an extensive range of public transport services including bus stations and subsidised bus services, delivers projects directly and in partnership with others, and is responsible for preparation of the statutory Regional Transport Strategy for the west of Scotland. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Projects team to work on a variety of projects/programmes within the Corporate Programme section. SPT is managing the process for developing a Strathclyde Regional Bus Strategy (SRBS) and leading the preparation of the Case for Investment (CFI) for Clyde Metro, among a wide range of other projects in support of the Regional Transport Strategy and Corporate Plan. About the Role The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all stages of the project lifecycle, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. The postholder will require to have oversight of all project activities, working proactively and independently to manage the execution of key deliverables. About you The successful candidate will have a degree in a related discipline, Project Management qualification or demonstratable project management experience. You will be a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills. Experience in leading complex and/or multi-disciplinary projects, including the co-ordination of interfaces between internal and external stakeholders is essential. Full time hours will be 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to undertake work outwith this norm to meet the responsibilities of the post. You will be based at 131 St Vincent Street, Glasgow.
