Senior Assurance Business Partner – Salary: circa £65,000
We are looking for a Senior Assurance Business Partner to provide Governance & Assurance (G&A) guidance to our Protection business. If you have strong stakeholder and project management skills and enjoy connecting with people, we would love to hear from you!
A bit about the job:
In this role you will be supporting the G&A Lead Business Partner in providing a G&A service to Protection. You will be representing G&A on key projects as designated by the G&A Director and Lead Business Partner and supporting the embedding and maintaining of operational risk and monitoring excellence in Protection, including standards, quality assurance and training.
You will be working closely with the 2nd Line Compliance team in monitoring and responding to regulatory developments, including support on mandatory change delivery and oversight as well as supporting the production of papers for Protection, UK Life management and Board Committees.
The role requires you to support a pro-active approach to governance across Protection, including Risk Committee; local management of risk; oversight of SMCR requirements; delegated authorities; maintenance of relevant governance maps; coordination of Board and Management Committee papers and activities as required.
In addition, you will support the Governance & Assurance Director and Lead Business Partner more broadly as required, to drive effective risk and control management and governance.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in managing the highest level of senior management relationships, negotiating, and influencing behaviour.
* An agile approach with the ability to drive better outcomes through good risk management.
* A background in risk or governance with experience in risk and control management across 1st, 2nd or 3rd line of defence.
* Experience in leading complex projects/reviews.
* Knowledge of key risks that customers and businesses are exposed to and the regulatory environment they operate within.

* Salary: circa £65,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
