Job Description Description: To support the engineering team and operation functions to provide maximum availability of plant machinery to produce high quality, safe product. To work in a safe manner at all times and to ensure the safe working practices of their team. To reduce downtime and look to improve the plant through continual improvement. To carry out tasks as required and directed by the Maintenance Lead. To work closely with operations to maximise plant availability. To resolve issues and liaise with contractors when required. Responsibilities and Duties Perform all aspects of mechanical, electrical and preventative types of maintenance on various high-speed and packaging machinery; Trouble shooting; Read electrical prints and perform basic wiring; Prioritise PM and AM activities with the weekly schedule; Understands principle centered coaching leadership and humble questioning; Coaching and qualifying aspects of AM and PM activities with employees within the process; Organise and execute duties as advised by the Operations Manager and Maintenance Lead; Actively participate in team goal setting/implementation to ensure that we are low cost, high quality producer; Ensure quality of our products and workplace by following all procedures and guidelines; Comply with all established GMP, HACCP guidelines, Housekeeping responsibilities, and QRMP operating procedures; Flexibility to adjust schedule to work with employees from all shifts as required; Work overtime as necessary; Pro active approach to problem solving; Maintain accurate records using the SAP system; Control spend within their area; Organise follow-up work; To work safely at all times and adhere to company policies; Identify improvements to machinery and processes working within the CI team; Perform other related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate: Our ideal candidate will have Mechanical and Electrical apprenticeship experience (or equivalent). A strong problem solver; they'll have an analytical approach and make timely, effective decisions. Previous experience with SAP is desirable, but above all else, we value a passion for manufacturing excellence. What we offer: Annual salary £51,227.2 with overtime paid at a rate of 1.5 Monday - Saturday and 2.0 on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
