As a Funding Officer within our dynamic Growth and Regeneration Directorate, you'll be at the forefront of driving change. You will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing current and future funding from external funding streams, while cultivating a network of industry partners. The preparation and submission of business cases to enable Strategic heads to make informed decisions on the pursuit of funding available and submit successful bids.
Ideal candidates will have/be:
* Experience in funding
* A keen understanding of the built environment
* Familiar with audit procedures
* Able to take a logical and structured approach to obtaining, keeping and maintaining records.
* Versed in data compilation, quality & accuracy checks.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills – this role would suit someone from a funding, financial, quality, compliance, or monitoring background.
You will bring your expertise to Homes and Neighbourhoods and be part of a wider team who manage multiple work streams, some part funded. As a member of our Asset Team, you will check data, compile claims, and ensure compliance with requirements of the funders. You will also have the opportunity to develop skills in relationship management by liaising with our project partners (internal and external to the Council) to help them maximise their impact, and to support the process development and project management of delivering this very specific task that needs completing in a specific timeframe.
