Cecil Court is in the heart of Langley Moor village and the property has 18 one-bedroom apartments. We provide specialised support to 18 adults with mental health needs. Our service is recovery focused, empowering the people we support, to progress to living independent lives, within the local community.
All applicants that rely on public transport must live in the Durham area due to transport issues with start times.
What you’ll be doing:
11. Assisting the people, we support to engage in activities within the local community.
12. The support we give is focused around boosting morale, increasing levels of existing skills and to support the learning of new skills.
13. You will motivate the people we support to rebuild their confidence and assist them to see a bright future for themselves.
14. We operate on a person-centred view, and we enjoy taking the lead and hearing ideas from the people we support.
15. Variable shift pattern which will include
Week 1:
Mon 9am-10pm and Wed 8am-6pm.
Week 2:
Tue, Wed, Thurs 10am – 7pm and Fri 10am-6pm.
Week 3:
Mon 9am-10pm and Wed 8am-6pm.
Week 4:
Tue, Wed, Thurs 1pm- 10pm and Fri 2pm -10pm.
Who you are:
16. Flexible and open to change.
17. Positive with a “can do attitude”.
18. Mental Health knowledge is preferred however, not essential as full training will be provided.
19. Highly motivated with the ability to encourage others.
