Job Description Company Overview Teledyne e2v is a global leader in specialised components and subsystems for innovative solutions in medical, science, aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. The imaging sensors developed and tested at the Chelmsford site have been used on humanities most important space imaging missions. These include the Hubble Telescope, Keplar, GAIA, Mars Rovers, New Horizons, and Rosetta to name but a few. Space Imaging is expanding its portfolio of projects to develop Front End Electronics (FEE) systems and full payloads for Space applications. Position Summary And Responsibilities The Operational Excellence Associate supports the analysis and enhancement of business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. They assist in utilising methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to identify areas for improvement and help implement strategies to optimise operations. This role involves collaborating with various functions and participating in cross-functional teams to promote continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Assist in Analysing Current Processes: Support the evaluation of existing business processes to identify areas for improvement. Training: Assist in conducting training sessions and workshops to educate employees on continuous improvement techniques. Contribute to Improvement Projects: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives. Monitor Effectiveness: Use data analysis tools to track the success of implemented changes. Document Findings: Maintain detailed records of processes, results, and improvement efforts. Report Progress: Assist in presenting progress reports and outcomes of improvement projects to senior management. Promote Best Practices: Advocate for and help implement best practices in Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Collaborate: Work closely with various functions to ensure alignment and support for improvement initiatives. Identify Opportunities: Continuously seek out new opportunities for process optimisation and waste reduction. Audit: Support in ISO audits, customer audits, and the closure of actions. Compliance: Support compliance with REACH and RoHS regulations. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse processes and identify inefficiencies. Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to develop and implement effective solutions. Project Management: Basic understanding of managing projects from idea to completion. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication abilities. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Data Analysis: Basic proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Power BI. Lean and Six Sigma: Basic knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
