Your new role
The team is responsible for the cyclical upkeep of the communal areas, covering a large geographical area. Our customers include market rent, shared ownership, and independent living communities on many estates or the whole estate. We also provide a reactionary service to deal with hazards, which can range from dumped items to clearing snow on our independent living blocks. The team is also responsible for the management of trees, aiming to retain as many as possible or replant if any are removed.
We have an exciting opportunity for Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our team based in Eastleigh, covering the local area. We're looking for a proactive team player with a good eye for detail who's seeking a new challenge. Working within a team, you'll be responsible for the upkeep of external communal areas, including grass, shrubs, and hedges. You may also be required to undertake soft landscaping and minor tree work. You'll cover sites across Eastleigh and surrounding areas from our main base and have the flexibility to plan your workload within a fortnightly round.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous grounds maintenance experience and ideally:
1. Practical amenity horticultural knowledge & experience
2. PA1 and PA6AW qualifications (desirable, but not essential)
3. NPTC certification or equivalent (desirable, but not essential)
4. A full driver's licence (with towing licence desirable)
What you'll get in return
£12 per hour / £15 umbrella - temp to perm opportunity - £24,960 per annum + van + benefits
