We are gearing up for our most exciting and challenging Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP8, this will see us deliver a programme of work larger than we’ve ever delivered before. We are driving change, empowering us to set global benchmarks and build a better environment, with the opportunity to offer enhanced growth and development to our workforce. We’re looking to build on our existing teams with an environment built for career progression.
Essential to us outperforming against our Procurement objectives and managing the effective and timely procurement of goods and services across the Alliance, we are looking for a Senior Buyer to join the team!
What will you be doing as our new Senior Buyer?
As our new Senior Buyer, you’ll implement the procurement deliverables agreed from the Portfolio strategies by challenging and negotiating long-term and short-term transactions with framework and non-framework partners.
The overall aim for this role is to be truly integrated within the project teams, ensuring all deliverables are achieved via implementing and supporting the ECI engagement of our strategic partners during the early stages of a project.
You’ll have a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting and positive impact across the @one Alliance.
Key responsibilities:
1. Aggregate demand across Water Recycling and Water programme areas and ensure all relevant information to support the procurement of goods and services have been included.
2. Undertake ethical and robust methods to promote the correct selection of supply chain partners.
3. Support Delivery on Time and manage and escalate any potential risks to the business.
4. Ensure our Health & Safety processes and deliverables are implemented throughout the life cycle of each project.
5. Issuing of performance scorecards across the supply chain and providing feedback to the project teams.
6. Ensure all deliverables are received within the agreed time frames (programme, signed contracts and site documentations).
7. Assess and implement efficiencies via value added approaches from within the Supply Chain.
8. Undertake proactive stakeholder management; work in an approachable manner to provide updates, analysis, reports, and innovation to increase knowledge share and confidence.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours…
With experience in a senior Procurement/Sourcing role, you’ll demonstrate a track record of excellent stakeholder management across a wide range of demanding audiences. Possessing self-motivation and accountability in abundance, you’ll be an experienced negotiator and be able to professionally challenge whilst presenting transparent and honest facts and information.
With strong experience of driving performance with the supply chain, you’ll truly embrace collaboration and understand how a strong team ethic can deliver positive results. Working with a high degree of integrity and the customer’s best interest at heart during all activities, you’ll be able to juggle a hectic yet rewarding workload to deliver Portfolio strategies we can be proud of.
