The role of the H&S Manager is now widely recognized as a senior role in any business and this role is a critical appointment for the site.
Working in food manufacturing, you need to be detailed, know the legislation and be hands on to be in tune with production. In this Multi-site HSE Manager role you will:
1. Develop and introduce new safety programs to ensure enforcement across the business.
2. Work closely with the production plant ensuring ongoing compliance.
3. Stay ahead of any changes in legislation and advise the business accordingly.
4. Collaborate with all key stakeholders to ensure consistency of message and culture.
5. Lead the audit process ensuring regular safety inspections and audits take place, resolving any resulting issues.
6. Support improvement projects in all functions.
7. Support all strategic sustainability targets.
8. Drive the culture embedding a robust structure through processes and procedures.
9. Be the subject matter expert on site - a known and trusted figure.
We need to see HSE candidates with the following backgrounds:
1. Extensive experience in Health and Safety in manufacturing with a background in food, chemical, FMCG or pharmaceutical.
2. NEBOSH qualified.
3. Proven ability in influencing key stakeholders in Health and Safety management.
4. Knowledge of current and future Environmental Health and Safety legislation.
5. Proactive engagement with cross-functional teams through clear and confident communication.
6. Organised and attentive to detail.
7. Self-motivated to consistently drive best practice.
8. Familiar with manufacturing environments working closely with the production teams to support and advise.
