As a Principal FE Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for leading in the execution and delivery of complex FE analysis-based tasks, using their deep technical knowledge to support product development throughout the design lifecycle.
* They will provide technical support to our key customers, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of engineering outputs.
* Analysis will be predominately using ANSYS, for the analysis of linear and non-linear, static, and dynamic, structural, thermodynamic, in time and frequency domains and multi-physics environment, performing analytical studies for analysing the mechanism of kinematics, dynamics, and force analysis.
* Implementing robust verification and validation processes for stress analysis and experience in training and development of engineers in the field of stress analysis.
* Generating appropriate analytical methodologies for the optimization of stress analysis studies and produce appropriately justified technical solutions, interpreting, and converting analysis results into practical design outputs.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Principal FE Specialist
* Previous defence or marine experience is not a requirement.
* The role requires deep professional expertise, knowledge, and experience in FEA.
* You should have experience in the use and application of ANSYS
Qualifications for the Principal FE Specialist Degree qualified in an engineering discipline with extensive experience in relevant field (or BTEC equivalent qualification in relevant engineering discipline with significant demonstrable experience) and have substantial demonstrable post degree experience.
