Job Description
Summary:
Custom Intelligent Security is seeking a Technical Helpdesk Engineer to provide proactive and reactive support for clients under Software Support Maintenance Agreements (SSMA) and to assist internal teams. The role involves primarily remote support, with occasional on-site visits as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve software/hardware issues, provide user training, and handle on-site support if necessary.
2. Contract Management: Assist with generating quotes, renewing software licenses, and tracking contract performance.
3. System Management: Configure deployment packages, manage alert profiles, and implement system changes.
4. Training & Communication: Create monthly technical bulletins, conduct internal training, and maintain up-to-date knowledge through training sessions.
Required Skills:
1. Enterprise security systems knowledge (e.g., Genetec, Lenel)
2. Understanding of networks and IT technologies
3. Genetec certification
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills
5. Proficient in MS Office
Desired Skills:
1. MCSE/CCNA certification
2. Experience with MS SQL, JavaScript, and scripting languages (Python, C++)
3. Certifications in Lenel, Gallagher, Avigilon
Location:
Based at our Head Office in Hertford, Hertfordshire, with potential for remote work for the right candidate.
