Prompt reporting of discrepancies to the stores supervisor. Deal with returned goods from customers and process paperwork according to SOPs. Includes processing and re-cycling unused medicines returned from wards. Carry out routine stock control procedures. Ensure stock is located under correct storage conditions and continuous evaluation of stock levels, stock rotation and expiry dates is undertaken. Perform necessary clerical tasks associated with the service. These may be manual but more routinely involve keyboard data entry onto the JAC system. This includes order entry, stock list maintenance & printing, issuing to correct cost centres. Participate in regular stock-takes according to departmental procedures. Contribute to the ward & department medicines top-up service. Pick and pack orders for distribution, under supervision. Pack and process materials for sterilization. Over-labelling of commercial packs. Deliver medicines to wards and departments, ensuring compliance with Trust Medicines Management policies. Maintenance of work areas and good housekeeping in accordance with the appropriate procedures. Operation of specialist equipment e.g. powered stacking equipment, aseptic tray washer, tablet packaging equipment etc Cleaning aseptic facilities and equipment in accordance with SOPs Transfer waste (pharmaceutical and household) to the appropriate collection points, according to procedures
