Developer / Senior / Lead Developer - C# | .NET | Azure Job Description The Product Tech team at NEXT in Enderby are looking for Developers to join the team at Senior / Lead level About the Team The Product Tech team is responsible for delivering a suite of Systems & Applications to support our Product Lifecycle and a user base of Designers, Buyers, Merchandisers, Suppliers as well as servicing key internal systems such as our Website, POS and Warehouse systems. About the Role You'll be helping develop our new cloud platform and assisting with the transformation of the current monolithic system to one based upon a micro-service Architecture. You'll work on various exciting and high profile projects, to ensure our systems/applications support the portfolio of products we have now and into the future. Making sure as the Next expands or adopts new initiatives, our systems evolve and grow to support it every step of the way. Working with us would mean exposure to new technologies and ways of working, getting involved in forcing through change and ultimately providing our customers with a better service. Like all teams, we also have challenges with some legacy applications and ‘older’ code languages but who doesn’t love a good challenge? You will help provide the analysis and development skills we need to create and enhance our systems and applications, as well as offering out-of-hours call out on a rota basis. You’ll also use your expertise and experience to help us continually improve our processes, improve our quality and working practices, actively enabling the team to become as efficient and effective as it can be. About you • Subject Matter expert in C# and .NET framework • Experience in full stack development • Solid understanding of design practices and system architecture • Solution development and delivery of applications into Azure Platform • Experience with different Azure components like Azure Function, Azure ServiceBus, Azure Blob Storage • Experience using containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices best practices • Knowledge of Relational database (MS-SQL, T-SQL) and NoSQL (Cosmos) • Familiarity with front-end technologies and experience in Blazor framework • Understanding of DevOps practices and tool for CI/CD • Experience working in Agile Environments using Scrum methodologies About Us You know Next, but did you know we’re a FTSE-100 retail company employing over 35,000 people across the UK and Ireland.
