1. Job Types: Full-time
2. Job Purpose: To ensure the smooth and efficient set-up and running of a law practice by providing a range of administrative and operational support.
3. Salary: To be discussed.
4. Compulsory Requirement:
1. Language: fluent in oral and written English; excellent command in Chinese/Mandarin is required.
2. Degree: minimum bachelor’s degree (min 2:2) majoring in business, business management and/or marketing/digital marketing.
3. Working experience: 2+ years working experience in a role assuming certain duties similar to those listed below; experience in supporting the COLP, COFA, MLRO and/or MLCO with various internal tasks and external communications with SRA and other relevant parties is a plus.
4. Familiar with the local legal landscape and cultural nuances.
5. Information and communication technology (ICT) skills.
6. High level of Microsoft Office skills including in particular Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
7. Excellent planning and project management skills.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Desirable Requirements:
1. Qualifications: diplomas or certificates evidencing your skills required for assuming certain duties for this job as described below in respect of e.g. office management, operation, marketing, and/or HR.
2. Ability to plan and implement a variety of events from seminars to conferences, running various projects simultaneously.
3. Similar experience in law firms or legal consultancy entities.
6. Duties: Handle matters as described below with English and/or Chinese/Mandarin language skills, ensuring efficient and smooth communication and collaboration with local regulatory authorities and within Lawson Wright LLP, as well as with the international partners with which it collaborates.
6.1 Administration:
1. Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
2. Assist with special projects and office events.
3. Act as a liaison with general and administration departments (e.g. Finance, IT, Human Resources, Records).
4. Assist in the communication with SRA and other local regulatory authorities to ensure the satisfaction of local compliance requirements and successful office management; previous work experience in law firms is preferred.
5. Work closely with the staff and lawyers in planning and execution of office-related initiatives and events.
6. Assist in the application and maintenance of requisite licenses/certificates required for the practice of the Entity and its professionals.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
6.2 Office:
1. Use a range of office software; spreadsheets; elements of legal case management database to improve operational systems, standards, and policies.
2. Ensure all IT and office resources are adequate, efficient, and promptly maintained alongside the practice manager and the Entity’s external IT supplier.
3. Liaise with building managing agents/freeholders concerning the Entity’s premises, as required.
6.3 Marketing:
1. Assist on the firm’s marketing activities.
2. Assist on creating and delivering client events such as conferences, hospitality events, webinars, and seminars.

8. Schedule:
Unless stated, office hours are 09:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, but it is essential to be flexible and prepared to work beyond the normal office hours when workflow demands.
9. Work Location:
1. Mainly working from home before the physical office of the Entity is available.
2. Once the physical office of the Entity is available, need to work from the office in London unless exceptionally approved.
3. Flexible with travelling (if and when needed at any time).
10. Miscellaneous:
1. We will need to complete a pre-employment screening which includes a Criminal History Background and other employee checks.
2. Reference check is required on demand.
3. Suitable candidate is expected to be on board (in or around January 2025). The probation period will be six months.
