Covering South, East and West of Wales Ty Hafan offers a beautiful, newly refurbished working environment set in idyllic ground a short distance from the metropolitan area of Cardiff.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our established Family Wellbeing and Outreach Services team as a Bereavement Service Lead in the Hospice and the Community.
This new role is project funded for 3 years (2025-2028).
About the Role The role is responsible for the coordination of all the specialist bereavement services delivered at the hospice and in the community, ensuring an equitable seamless service to all families known to Ty Hafan and experiencing anticipatory grief and bereavement.
The role will involve leading, developing and monitoring a bereavement service to support families and will strongly advocate at national forums for the role of Ty Hafan in meeting the needs of the families.
Additionally, the role will provide operational oversight and management of the counselling service, and lead and support a team of Therapists and Counsellors through visible presence and personal contribution.
Hours for the role are 37.5 hours.
Applicants will be required to work flexibly, occasional weekend and evenings as and when required.
Driving licence and use of car with ability to travel across the South, West and East areas of Wales is essential.
About You We are looking for a highly experienced qualified Therapist or Counsellor who has extensive knowledge of working within the field of bereavement, including with anticipatory grief.
You will have vast experience of gathering data for KPI's and project management, excellent assessment skills with the ability to manage a crisis and enhanced interpersonal and communication skills.
You will have experience of successfully managing others and the ability to engage in reflective practice and maintain professional boundaries whilst championing Ty Hafans values.
