At WARP, we are on a mission to reframe snacking as an act of positive wellbeing. A key part of delivering this mission will be building a blueprint for how to scale challenger brands in a modern way, building on our position as Europe’s fastest growing snack company. As such, we are looking for a comms expert and creative evangelist to join us as Marketing Manager, Comms and Campaigns to step change how our brands show up in the world, garnering a disproportionate share of voice and attention and ultimately generating increased consumer demand.
The Person
This person will be a modern-day comms enthusiast and creative thinker, likely currently working in an agency or at start-up/scale who is looking to throw the traditional reach x frequency rule book out the window and find new, consumer focused, shareable and innovative ways to build brands. A digital native (though they likely hate the term), they will have a predisposition to think differently about brand building, and a passion for making things happen and delivering in market, taking satisfaction from execution as much as strategy.
The Role
In this new role, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will shape how our brands come to life in the world working with external agency partners and our internal creative teams to build our blueprint for brand growth. You’ll be an advocate for creativity and for our consumer, making sure that both are hardwired into everything we do in the world from customer presentations to Tik Tok videos to corporate communications.
Responsibilities
* Develop the comms strategy to scale PROPER ongoing across owned, earned and paid media ensuring we get a disproportionate share of voice vs. spend.
* Develop the ongoing comms strategy and consumer engagement plan for Eat Real, our alternative basis superstar in the portfolio.
* Work with the founder on getting much noisier as a corporate as well as consumer brand, engaging with key stakeholders around our brand led approach to growth.
* Execute campaigns in market with creative flair and excellence.
* Work with agency partners, trade marketing and in house creative to ensure that the brand shows up in a coherent and consistent manner.
* Develop our brand partnerships and collaborations strategy and own the relationships and negotiation process with key partners.
* Be the ‘go to’ expert on all things consumer and communications in the business.
* Implement new ways of working to drive more consumer led and effective communications such as social listening, ongoing brand tracking and new ways of evaluating effectiveness of what we put out in the world.
* Partner with our head of creative to shape the expression of our brands in the world from tone of voice to visual world to channel plans and thinking.
* Ensure we have the right partners and capabilities both in and out of house and fill skills and capabilities gaps with the right partners we needed.
* Build credibility in communications and marketing as a lever for growth in both the short and the long term, ensuring our ROS increases and shifting the perception in the commercial team that we need to promote to drive ROS.
* Set the parameters for success for all campaigns and ensure we are tracking the metrics that matter, building our effectiveness knowledge and thus making increasingly better choices.
* Manage the activation budgets for both PROPER and Eat Real.
* Manage a team of two (Brand Manager, Comms and Trade and Shopper Manager), building their capabilities around best in class activation.
Requirements
* At least eight years of experience in a digital or communications focussed marketing role, either industry or agency side.
* Proven experience of delivering campaigns that have driven shareable reach either via influencer, PR or social.
* Experience of working on challenger or start up brands or organisations, your attitude to brand building will involve working at pace and making things happen rather than getting bogged down in models, frameworks and powerpoint slides.
* An absolute passion for execution with clear skills in organisation and management of large comms projects.
* Experience of working with creative people or agency partners and of managing them to do the best work of their careers including you having exceptional creative judgement.
* You’ll relish the new and hate dogma and tried and tested methods of doing things.
* You’ll be the kind of person that is on top of consumer behaviour shifts, industry and communications trends and will love to share these or use this insight as an opportunity to shape new ideas and thinking.
* Experience of developing comms plans and frameworks for ‘always on’ brand campaigns.
* An eye for design and creativity, you’ll be aesthetically motivated and appreciate that developing a distinctive and consistent brand world is a vital part of brand building.
* Experience managing marketing or brand budgets.
* A good understanding of the key digital platforms for brands such as Tik Tok and Instagram.
* A passion for food and a real appetite to work in a scaling business.
* You’ll be supremely accountable, never having to be asked twice and will come into work every day with a ‘sleeves rolled up’ and ‘what will it take’ mentality.
* Some experience of working with retailers or sales teams in some capacity would be beneficial.
