A fast growing house building company near Wakefield who are setting up an in-house architectural team to complete architectural works from land inception through to completion are seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician.
Our client are passionate about delivering high-quality houses in the Yorkshire Region working on scheme between 30-250 units per site. Due to company growth our client are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Technician. Key Responsibilities for the Senior Architectural Technician:
Produce Architectural drawing packs from land inception to completion.
Produce high-quality, detailed technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with building regulations and NHBC standards.
Develop new standard house type ranges.
Produce full working drawing packs for standard house types as well and company standard details for construction
Collaborate with in house departments, engineers, and other project stakeholders to coordinate design.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress and resolve any technical issues on-site.
Mentor and guide junior team members, offering technical support and advice.
Review and ensure accuracy of documentation and manage project timelines.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies.Key Requirements for the Senior Architectural Technician:
A degree or HND in Architectural Technology or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technician, with a strong portfolio of completed projects with residential experience (preferably volume house building).
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) and other design tools.
In-depth knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and sustainable design practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Full driving license (desirable).Benefits:
