About the Role: TSA are currently recruiting for an individual with building services or hard Facilities Management experience, to work as a contract M&E Surveyor, carrying out mechanical and electrical surveys of the commercial portfolio of a local authority on behalf of a building services consultancy. Our client provides internal resources for both public and private sector projects across diverse portfolios, including commercial, healthcare, education and industrial sites. The role is due to commence in mid to late March and is expected to last around 2 years in duration. This would be an opportunity to expand your personal skillset, utilising your knowledge in a professional environment, and work across a range of industries and environments, both public and private, delivering vital surveys to assess the condition and compliance of mechanical and electrical assets. Key Responsibilities: Conduct M&E Condition Surveys and assist with creating detailed asset registers, verifying asset details, and evaluating the condition of plant and equipment. Perform compliance audits, identifying any potential issues or areas for improvement in mechanical and electrical systems. Log, tag, and generate condition reports for all mechanical and electrical assets in various environments. Work closely with internal teams to ensure high-quality delivery across a range of asset management projects. Have an understanding of asset registers, contract mobilisations, CAFM systems, and maintenance standards such as SFG20. Ideal Candidates: Building Services Engineers or professionals from a facilities management background with knowledge of commercial mechanical and/or electrical systems. Experience to some degree of M&E asset surveying, asset registers, and conducting compliance audits. Strong understanding of building services engineering principles, with the ability to perform independent surveys and work as part of a team. Familiarity with asset management tools, CAFM systems, and maintenance standards like SFG20. Able to work autonomously, managing your own workload effectively. Ideally qualified in mechanical or electrical building services engineering.
