We are seeking a dedicated Registration Support Assistant to join our Ceremonies Team. The successful candidate will help ensure that all registration processes run smoothly and efficiently during our events.
This exciting opportunity will be based in the Registration Service, where you will work to ensure that local community needs are met with the day-to-day running of the Ceremonies Team delivering marriages, civil partnerships, and other non-statutory ceremonies.

Salary: £13.95 to £14.18 per hour (includes annual leave entitlement) with entitlement to claim for Crawley Weighting Allowance.
Contract Type: Casual
Working Pattern: Casual hours (up to 37 hours per week)
Location: Crawley Register Office (Crawley Library, Southgate Avenue, Crawley, RH10 6HG) and occasion working from Horsham Register Office (1RJ, Park House, North St, Horsham RH12 1RL) when required.

You may need to be able to travel independently around the county, including to areas that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Pool cars and pool bikes available.
The Opportunity
Our work in the Ceremonies Team can often feel quite different from the next! There will be some key responsibilities likely to feature in this role, including:
1. Assisting the Registration Officers with ushering during ceremonies (Marriages, Civil Partnerships, and non-statutory ceremonies).
2. Communicating face to face with customers in a professional, courteous, and appropriate manner.
3. Working across different floors of the Ceremony venue, setting up rooms for ceremonies and resolving minor maintenance issues.
The ideal applicant will have experience of working within a customer service environment, with effective communication and IT skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
