Account Development Senior Sales Representative - Engineering

Fast growing Engineering business that is part of a UK Industrial Group of companies. You must currently be working in an Engineering business and ideally have experience of Piping, Flanges, or Engineering related parts. This role involves Field Sales, New Business, and Account Management. It may suit a Business Development Manager wanting a hands-on and high-earning role.
This is a newly created Business Development, Account Management Sales Executive role. The position might suit an experienced and ambitious Sales Engineer currently working in a similar industry. It is a Sales role, not a people management remit.
You will develop and increase Sales in line with agreed targets and sales plans. You are likely to be living in the North of England, ideally near Manchester, Stockport, Wigan, Salford, Warrington, or Leeds, and you will be able to work from home as necessary.
Experience of Tubes and Pipelines gained in the Water or Oil and Gas industries would be ideal. Experience of Engineered products - selling Flanges, Valves, or Pressure Vessels would be an advantage. BS 1387 steel tube experience is also beneficial.
You will be required to find new customers/market sectors and advise on requirements to develop new markets, increasing potential sales and margin expectations.

You will have extensive Technical Business Development Sales experience, possibly with a Machine shop background. You will be selling an engineered product, not a service.
Responsibilities include:
1. Manage existing customer base and develop new customers within the UK to ensure sales and margin targets are achieved.
2. Acquire customer product approvals for both manufactured and traded products.
3. Be fully conversant with the commercial and technical requirements of customers and competitors within preselected and defined market sectors.
4. Communicate on a frequent basis regarding the progress of account action plans, objectives, and overall budgets.
5. Contribute to annual Business plans/strategy for the development of sales into the Industrial & process-related market sectors.
6. Provide technical support at customers' request.

Commission pay + Bonus
