Electrical Package Manager - Wales

Our client, a leading engineering & construction contractor with a reputation for delivering world-class projects across a diverse range of industries, is urgently looking for an experienced Electrical Package Manager for a Data Centre project. With a strong background in electrical systems, the Electrical Package Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of the electrical packages to ensure that all electrical work is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
1. Manage the entire electrical package, from design and procurement to installation and commissioning, ensuring all work aligns with project requirements, timelines, and budget constraints of a major Data Centre project.
2. Work closely with engineering teams, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth integration of the electrical package with other project elements.
3. Provide technical guidance on electrical systems and installations, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
4. Perform regular site safety inspections ensuring that all electrical work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safety-first culture.
5. Identify and assess risks associated with the electrical packages and develop and implement effective solutions to eliminate/minimise impacts on project timelines, quality, and costs.
6. Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment required for the electrical package.
7. Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to verify compliance with specifications and project requirements.
8. Act as the primary point of contact for all electrical-related matters, maintaining effective communication, providing regular progress updates, and addressing concerns.
9. Maintain detailed records of all electrical package activities and provide regular reports to senior management on progress, budget, and relevant issues.
10. Degree/qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
11. 5+ years of experience managing electrical packages for large-scale projects, preferably in Data Centre or similar heavy M&E projects.
12. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and design with familiarity in electrical codes and standards.
13. Proven ability to manage large, complex project packages with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
14. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
